\nStakes<\/a> goes at Pimlico<\/span> Race Course on Saturday,
\nas Big Brown tries to add the second jewel of the Triple Crown to his growing
\nlist of accomplishments.<\/o:p><\/p>\n}

Big Brown dominated at Churchill Downs two weeks ago, easily winning the
\nKentucky Derby by 4 \u00be lengths. The Derby<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>
\nvictory maintained Big Brown\u2019s perfect record, which now sits at 4-0. Big Brown
\nwill break from the seventh post at the Preakness<\/span>,
\nwhich has held five wins in the past 19 years. It will be a shocker if
\nBig Brown doesn\u2019t make it 5-0 at Pimlico<\/span> on Saturday,
\nespecially as a huge \u00bd race favorite.<\/o:p><\/p>\n

Big Brown won the Derby<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> so
\neasily that only one other horse that raced at Churchill Downs will also be
\nracing at Pimlico<\/span> on Saturday. That lone horse is Gayego<\/span>, who didn\u2019t even challenge in the Derby<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>,
\nfinishing well back in 17^{th<\/sup> place out of 20 horses. This will be the
\nfirst time since 1980 that only two horses from the Derby<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>
\nwill compete in the Preakness<\/span>. The two returnees in
\n1980 were Codex and Derby<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> winner
\nGenuine Risk, with Codex winning in an upset. <\/o:p><\/p>\n}

Before Gayego<\/span> became a late Preakness<\/span>
\naddition, the No. 1 challenger to Big Brown appeared to be Behindatthebar<\/span>,
\nwho was listed at 10\/1. Things quickly changed on Friday after Behindatthebar<\/span> became a late scratch from the race due to a
\nbruised front left foot. This was the second horse to bow out after Recapturetheglory<\/span> was force to withdraw due to a fever. <\/o:p><\/p>\n

With Behindatthebar<\/span> out, the odds quickly rise after
\nthe top two with a pair of horses – Kentucky Bear and Yankee Bravo – both
\nlisted at 15\/1. Kentucky Bear doesn\u2019t have a Stakes race win under his belt
\nthis season, which makes him unlikely to win his first at the Preakness<\/span>. Yankee Bravo won the California Derby earlier
\nthis year, but followed that up with a fourth place in the Santa Anita Derby
\nand a third place in the Louisiana Derby. Yankee Bravo may not have the speed
\nto keep up with Big Brown and the rest of the race leaders.<\/p>\n

\nFlorida Derby where he finished in fourth place, while Big Brown went on to the
\nwinner\u2019s circle. However, Hey Byrn<\/span> did win the Holy
\nBull Stakes last month, which is run at the same distance as the Preakness<\/span>.<\/o:p><\/p>\n
