The<br \/>\nChiefs have Larry Johnson, the NFL\u2019s second-leading rusher with 1,789 yards.<br \/>\nNonetheless, <st1:City><st1:place>Indianapolis<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> is favored<br \/>\nby 6\u00bd points, largely because it is 8-0 at home and has Peyton Manning and<br \/>\nMarvin Harrison to match anything Johnson can do \u2013 even though the Chiefs\u2019<br \/>\ndefense under Herman Edwards is certainly better than it was in January 2004.<br \/>\nFor those who dabble in such things, the over-under is 51, a very reachable<br \/>\nfigure unless the Chiefs keep the clock running with their rushing game. Funny<br \/>\nthing about the Colts: nobody expects much of them this year, unlike last<br \/>\nseason, when they entered the playoffs as the top seed in the AFC. So maybe<br \/>\nthey\u2019ll go farther than most people believe. <o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n<h3><span style='font-size:12.0pt'>Associated Press <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=MsoBodyText>Bob Sanders, who made the Pro Bowl last season, missed 12<br \/>\nof the past 14 games after having arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. His<br \/>\nabsence exposed the Colts\u2019 oft-criticized defense for what it lacks without<br \/>\nhim: an energizing playmaker. At 5 feet 8 and 206 pounds, he is built like a<br \/>\ncannonball, hurls himself toward runners like a missile and is at his best in<br \/>\nrun support. Without him, the Colts aren\u2019t the <span class=SpellE>same.In<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=GramE>2005,<\/span> Sanders earned a trip to <st1:State><st1:place>Hawaii<\/st1:place><\/st1:State><br \/>\nafter helping the Colts allow the second-fewest points in the league. This<br \/>\nseason, with Sanders primarily on the bench, the run defense dropped to No. 32<br \/>\nand set a franchise record by allowing 5.3 yards per carry. Coach Tony Dungy<br \/>\nwarns Sanders cannot solve all the team\u2019s defensive problems, but when he<br \/>\nplays, the Colts are different. But the Seahawks secondary woes may get him back on track. <st1:City><st1:place>Seattle<\/st1:place><\/st1:City><br \/>\ncould be down to converted safety Jordan <span class=SpellE>Babineaux<\/span><br \/>\nand rookie Kelly Jennings on Saturday with Marcus <span class=SpellE>Trufant<\/span><br \/>\nlaid low by a high ankle sprain. This could give the Boys a chance to get Terry<br \/>\nGlenn and Terrell Owens free on the outside where both are most potent. The<br \/>\nsmoothness of the Seahawks\u2019 passing attack and the composure of quarterback<br \/>\nMatt Hasselbeck have evaporated. Maybe it was the injury Hasselbeck suffered<br \/>\nthat cost him. Maybe it was getting used to not having an explosive Shaun<br \/>\nAlexander, the absence of guard Steve Hutchinson or getting Deion Branch<br \/>\ninvolved at <span class=SpellE>wideout<\/span>. Whatever it is, they\u2019ve been off<br \/>\nmuch of the year and <span class=SpellE>Hasselbeck\u2019s<\/span> regressed this<br \/>\nyear. The Cowboys\u2019 secondary has been a pack of big-play enablers all season.<br \/>\nSafety Roy Williams is laboring through an awful year in coverage and so is<br \/>\nfellow safety Keith Davis. Terence Newman and Anthony Henry, the corners, are<br \/>\nprone to giving up the big play as well.
