Even if <st1:City><st1:place>Baltimore<\/st1:place><\/st1:City><br \/>\nloses to <st1:City><st1:place>Cleveland<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> (4-9), something<br \/>\nthat doesn\u2019t happen very often, it can still clinch a playoff spot through a<br \/>\nmultitude of other scenarios. Since leaving <st1:City><st1:place>Cleveland<\/st1:place><\/st1:City><br \/>\nfor <st1:City><st1:place>Baltimore<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> after the 1995<br \/>\nseason, the Ravens are 10-5 against the team that replaced them. The Ravens<br \/>\nhave won six of their last seven games and are tied with <st1:City><st1:place>Indianapolis<\/st1:place><\/st1:City><br \/>\nfor the second-best record in the AFC. <st1:City><st1:place>Baltimore<\/st1:place><\/st1:City><br \/>\nis 5-1 at <span class=SpellE>M&amp;T<\/span> Bank Stadium this season and has<br \/>\nwon 15 of its last 19 home games in December. <span style='color:black'>As the<br \/>\nRavens continue to win, quarterback Steve McNair seems to grow more comfortable<br \/>\nin the offense. He has completed 68.1 percent of his passes and thrown for<br \/>\neight touchdowns in his last seven games, and didn\u2019t throw an interception in<br \/>\nsix of those contests. McNair has thrown nine touchdowns passes and only one<br \/>\ninterception in his last five starts against the Browns, posting a 98.6 passer<br \/>\nrating. The Ravens are first in the NFL in total defense, allowing 268.1 yards<br \/>\nper game. <\/span><st1:City><st1:place><span style='color:black'>Baltimore<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:City><span\nstyle='color:black'> has allowed a league-low 170 points and has held <\/span><st1:City><st1:place><span\nstyle='color:black'>Cleveland<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:City><span\nstyle='color:black'> to 14 points or less in 10 of their 15 all-time meetings. The<br \/>\nBrowns, who have lost eight consecutive road games to division opponents, are<br \/>\ntrying to avoid a winless season against AFC North teams. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style='font-size:12.0pt'>Dolphins-Bills<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/h2>\n<h3><st1:City><st1:place><span style='font-size:12.0pt'>Gainesville<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:City><span\nstyle='font-size:12.0pt'> Sun<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=MsoBodyText><st1:City><st1:place>Miami<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> and <st1:City><st1:place>Buffalo<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>,<br \/>\nboth 6-7, resurfaced in the crowded conference race after convincing victories<br \/>\nover East opponents last Sunday. Neither team can clinch a berth with a win<br \/>\nthis <span class=GramE>week<\/span>, but both can improve their positioning. The<br \/>\nDolphins, who have won five of their last six games, recorded their first<br \/>\nshutout in six seasons with a 21-0 home victory over division-leading <st1:place>New<br \/>\nEngland<\/st1:place> last Sunday. It was the 10<sup>th<\/sup> time this season<br \/>\nthat <st1:City><st1:place>Miami<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> has held an opponent to<br \/>\n20 points or fewer. <st1:City><st1:place>Taylor<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> and<br \/>\nsafety <span class=SpellE>Yeremiah<\/span> Bell combined for 15 tackles and two<br \/>\nsacks as <st1:City><st1:place>Miami<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>\u2019s second-ranked<br \/>\ndefense held the Patriots to a season-low 189 yards. The Dolphins allow 278.2<br \/>\nyards per game.<o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n<h2><span style='font-size:12.0pt'>Steelers-Panthers<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/h2>\n<h3><span style='font-size:12.0pt'>Steelers.com<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=MsoBodyText>The Steelers know they have an uphill battle if they are<br \/>\ngoing to get into the post-season, as they not only have to win their last<br \/>\nthree games, but a variety of other things have to happen as well.<o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n<h3><span style='font-size:12.0pt'>Charlotte Observer<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=MsoBodyText>Carolina Panthers quarterback <span style='mso-bidi-font-weight:\nbold'>Jake Delhomme,<\/span> recovering from a torn ligament in his right thumb,<br \/>\ntried to throw before Friday\u2019s practice, but had problems with the thumb and<br \/>\ndidn\u2019t participate. He hasn\u2019t practiced all week, making it likely that backup <span\nstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:bold'>Chris <span class=SpellE>Weinke<\/span>, <\/span>who<br \/>\nplayed last week against the New York Giants, will start again Sunday when the<br \/>\nPanthers meet <st1:City><st1:place>Pittsburgh<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> at Bank of<br \/>\nAmerica Stadium.<o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n<h2><span style='font-size:12.0pt'>Eagles-Giants<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/h2>\n<h3><st1:City><st1:place><span style='font-size:12.0pt'>Philadelphia<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:City><span\nstyle='font-size:12.0pt'> Daily News<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=MsoBodyText><span class=GramE>Eagles<\/span> revenge for one of worst<br \/>\nloses in history. Had they not blown a 24-7 fourth-quarter lead in that Sept.<br \/>\n17 game and lost, 30-24, in overtime, the Eagles would be 8-5, unbeaten in the<br \/>\nNFC East. And had the game not gone into overtime, they would not have lost<br \/>\ntheir most dominant defensive player, <span class=SpellE>Jevon<\/span> <span\nclass=SpellE>Kearse<\/span>, to a season-ending knee injury.<o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n<h2><span style='font-size:12.0pt'>Jaguars-Titans<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/h2>\n<h3><span style='font-size:12.0pt'>Tennessean<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=MsoBodyText>Heading into Sunday\u2019s rematch with the Jaguars (8-5), the<br \/>\nTitans (6-7) have won four games in a row. The Titans have consistently ranked<br \/>\nin the NFL\u2019s bottom five in run defense this season. They\u2019re currently ranked<br \/>\n28<sup>th<\/sup>, allowing 140.9 yards per game, and have allowed four 100-yard<br \/>\nrushers this season. Only twice this season have the Titans held the opposition<br \/>\nto under 100 yards rushing. That\u2019s the same number of times they\u2019ve allowed<br \/>\n200-plus rushing yards, although both those games (<st1:City><st1:place>San<br \/>\nDiego<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>, <st1:City><st1:place>Dallas<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>)<br \/>\nwere early in the season. Since <span class=SpellE>Haynesworth\u2019s<\/span> return<br \/>\non Nov. 19, the Titans have shown some improvement. Sunday, however, they face<br \/>\na Jaguars team that rolled to 375 rushing yards against the Colts last week.<br \/>\nThe Titans seemingly hit rock bottom in the passing game against the Jaguars on<br \/>\nNov. 5, when Young had three interceptions in a 37-7 loss.<o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=MsoBodyText>Young\u2019s worst game was probably the following week in a<br \/>\nwin against the Eagles, when he went 8-of-22 and was nearly intercepted several<br \/>\ntimes. Since then, however, he has improved.
