Coach Steve Alford, including a 54-5 (.915) mark in non-conference home<br \/>\ngames. Two of the four non-conference home losses game in the National<br \/>\nInvitation Tournament. <st1:State><st1:place>Iowa<\/st1:place><\/st1:State> holds<br \/>\na 40-19 advantage in the series. <st1:State><st1:place>Iowa<\/st1:place><\/st1:State><br \/>\nhas won four of the last seven meetings and six of the last 10. Just seven of<br \/>\nthe last 17 games have had a final margin of eight points or less. Senior guard Mike Henderson, who missed <st1:State><st1:place>Iowa<\/st1:place><\/st1:State>\u2019s<br \/>\nfirst seven games after suffering a hand injury in practice on Oct. 30, saw his<br \/>\nfirst action of the season in <st1:State><st1:place>Iowa<\/st1:place><\/st1:State>\u2019s<br \/>\nwin over <st1:place><st1:PlaceName><span class=SpellE>Coppin<\/span><\/st1:PlaceName><br \/>\n<st1:PlaceType>State<\/st1:PlaceType><\/st1:place>. <st1:City><st1:place>Henderson<\/st1:place><\/st1:City><br \/>\nsuffered a fracture to the pinkie finger on his right hand and underwent<br \/>\nsurgery two days later. <st1:City><st1:place>Henderson<\/st1:place><\/st1:City><br \/>\nhad the cast removed Nov. 27 before playing eight minutes vs. <st1:place><st1:PlaceName><span\nclass=SpellE>Coppin<\/span><\/st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType>State<\/st1:PlaceType><\/st1:place><br \/>\nand 11 minutes vs. <st1:place>Northern Iowa<\/st1:place>. <st1:City><st1:place>Henderson<\/st1:place><\/st1:City><br \/>\n(6-3, 200), a <st1:place><st1:City>Waterloo<\/st1:City>, <st1:State>IA<\/st1:State><\/st1:place><br \/>\nnative, started all 34 games a year ago. He averaged 7.6 points and 3.9<br \/>\nrebounds per outing while shooting 46.4% from three-point range. He earned the<br \/>\nteam \u201cMost Improved Award\u201d at the conclusion of the season.<o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n<h2><span style='font-size:12.0pt'>Eastern Michigan-San Diego<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/h2>\n<h3><span style='font-size:12.0pt'>Press Notes <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=MsoBodyText>Sand <span class=GramE>Diego\u2019s<span\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>  <\/span><span class=SpellE>Nir<\/span><\/span> Cohen, a<br \/>\n6-foot-7, 245-pound senior forward\/center from <st1:country-region><st1:place>Israel<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region>,<br \/>\nwill be sidelined for an estimated four to six weeks after suffering a fracture<br \/>\nto the third metacarpal (middle finger) in his left hand. The injury occurred<br \/>\nin the afternoon <span class=SpellE>shootaround<\/span> before the Point Loma<br \/>\ngame on Nov. 16<sup>th<\/sup> during a defensive drill against the scout team<br \/>\nrunning the <span class=SpellE>PLNU<\/span> offense. Cohen said he was hit by a<br \/>\nteammate\u2019s elbow. Through two games Cohen was averaging 14.5 ppg and 4.5 <span\nclass=GramE>rpg<\/span> while shooting 60% from the field and 76.9 percent from<br \/>\nthe free throw line. The <span class=SpellE>USD<\/span> Toreros won their second<br \/>\nstraight game with Tuesday\u2019s 92-72 home win over the Cal State Bakersfield. The<br \/>\nwin also improved <span class=SpellE>USD\u2019s<\/span> home record this season to a<br \/>\nperfect 3-0. <span class=SpellE>USD<\/span> will be gunning for its third<br \/>\nstraight win and second straight road victory when they tip-off against the <st1:place><span\nclass=GramE>Eastern Michigan<\/span><\/st1:place><span class=GramE> Eagles on<br \/>\nFriday.<\/span> The <span class=SpellE>EWU<\/span> Eagles are off to a 1-5 start<br \/>\nand bring a 4-game losing streak to the tourney.
