A victory in <st1:City><st1:place>Cincinnati<\/st1:place><\/st1:City><br \/>\nwould snatch the AFC North title away from the Bengals (6-5) and put the Ravens<br \/>\non course for greater things. Some Ravens are miffed by the way receiver <span\nclass=SpellE>T.J<\/span>. Houshmandzadeh talked down to them the first time they<br \/>\nmet this season. The Ravens won 26-20 on Nov. 5, but Houshmandzadeh wasn\u2019t<br \/>\nabout to give them any credit afterward. \u201cDeep down, we know we\u2019re better than <st1:City><st1:place>Baltimore<\/st1:place><\/st1:City><br \/>\nand they know it,\u201d Houshmandzadeh said. \u201cWe\u2019ve got better players than they do.\u201d<br \/>\nHoushmandzadeh isn\u2019t backing down. \u201cI think we\u2019re better than them,\u201d he said<br \/>\nTuesday. \u201cWe\u2019ll find out.\u201d<o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=MsoBodyText>That jarring loss in <st1:City><st1:place>Baltimore<\/st1:place><\/st1:City><br \/>\nbecame a turning point for <st1:City><st1:place>Cincinnati<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>.<br \/>\nThe offense finally got on a roll, with Carson Palmer throwing for nine<br \/>\ntouchdowns in the last three games. For the first time in his career, he has<br \/>\nput up passer ratings above 120 for three games in a row.<o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n<h1><span class=SpellE><span style='font-size:12.0pt'>CFB<\/span><\/span><span\nstyle='font-size:12.0pt'><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/h1>\n<h2><st1:place><span style='font-size:12.0pt'>Ohio-Central Michigan<\/span><\/st1:place><span\nstyle='font-size:12.0pt'><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/h2>\n<h3><span style='font-size:12.0pt'>Sports Network<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=MsoBodyText>Two teams making their first-ever appearance in the<br \/>\nMid-American Conference championship game will clash this Thursday night at<br \/>\nFord Field, as the Ohio Bobcats battle the Central Michigan Chippewas. The<br \/>\nChippewas are coming off their best season since 1994 when the team finished<br \/>\nwith a 9-2 ledger and claimed the MAC title. CMU\u2019s season got off to a rough<br \/>\nstart, as the team lost three of its first five games. Fortunately the<br \/>\nChippewas were able to right the ship and closed out the season winning five of<br \/>\ntheir last six <span class=SpellE>matchups<\/span>, with the lone loss coming<br \/>\nagainst <st1:place>Northern Illinois<\/st1:place>, 31-10. The Chippewas possess<br \/>\none of the most dangerous offensive units in the MAC in 2006, mainly because of<br \/>\nthe team\u2019s potent passing attack, which produced 247.2 <span class=SpellE>ypg<\/span>.<br \/>\nThe success of the aerial assault has led to 29.2 ppg, which ranked the team<br \/>\nfirst in the MAC in scoring. Quarterback Dan <span class=SpellE>LeFevour<\/span><br \/>\nis the biggest reason for the success, as the redshirt freshman had a<br \/>\nsensational season, completing 63 percent of his passes for 2,555 <span\nclass=GramE>yards<\/span>. Defensively, the Chippewas were not dominant by any<br \/>\nstretch of the <span class=GramE>imagination,<\/span> however the unit did<br \/>\nenough to help produce victories.
