One of the stronger betting opportunities for bettors is a contest between Baltimore Ravens at New England Patriots. The betting line has the point spread posted as New England (-7) with a total of 50.5.

OffshoreInsiders.com takes a look at the betting on football match-up using key numbers employed by Vegas insiders. In comparing yards per rush on offense, the healthier records go to Baltimore by .2. Insofar as passing yards per completion on the offensive side of the ball, the advantage is for New England by 1.7. According to yards per point, the not wasteful offense is New England by 1.10.

Defensively the more miserly team based on yards per rush is Baltimore by .9. The more exceptional defense based on the stipulation of passing yards per completion is the Ravens by 1.3. The yards per point statistic used by the best sports handicappers says the better defense is New England forcing 1.7 more. Turnover rate favors the Patriots by 10.

Who to bet on according to the pick nation Looks like another fantastic postseason. GodsTips is 5-2 including the Niners as the Postseason Game of the Year last Saturday. Now get both sides including the NFL Playoffs Conference Game of the Year. No handicapper has ever dominated any sport—decade after decade—the way GodsTips has the NFL going back to our scorephone days. Click now to purchase

Yards per point is determined by dividing total yards by number of points. Offensively a lower number is considered more efficient. On defense, a higher number is better.

Spread betting trends (all records are against the spread): Baltimore 6-1 after accumulating less than 250 total yards in their previous game, 5-1 to teams with a winning record. New England 21-9 after allowing less than 150 yards passing in their previous game, 45-21 after accumulating more than 350 total yards in their previous game, 1-6 playoffs.

Over/under trends: Baltimore over 8-1 after accumulating less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game, over 8-2 after accumulating less than 250 total yards in their previous game.

New England over 6-0 in January, over 22-6 off win, over 22-6 overall, over 20-8 to teams with a winning record.

Bill Tanner hits with the Saints and Missouri. New Orleans makes it 28-13 in the NFL, while Missouri makes it 11-5 in football. Here is the sensational insight all of Bill’s clients got:

North Carolina vs. Missouri

The Advocare Vivo Independence Bowl will be played on Monday, December 26, 2011 at 5 PM ET and will feature the North Carolina Tar Heels and the Missouri Tigers. The Tigers are 7-5 and finished 5th in the Big-12 conference while North Carolina ended the regular eason at 7-5 and a 4th place in the ACC Coastal Division.

North Carolina enters with an average defense as they allow 352 yards per game to their opponents and 246 yards of that comes through the air. The team average 28.3 points per game but give back 23.5 to the other team. They are led by Giovani Bernard with 14 touchdowns and 1222 yards rushing for the season. Bryn Renner has thrown for 2769 yards with Dwight Jones receiving 1119 yards for the year.

Missouri is 12th in the nation with average total yards gained per game with 473.2 a game and pick up 236 of that on the ground. The leading rusher is Henry Josey with 1168 yards and T.J. Moe leads receivers with 649 yards for the season. James Franklin is the quarterback with 13 touchdowns and 2740 yards passing for the season.

The Tigers are 6-6 ATS and 6-6 O/U this year while North Carolina finds them also at 6-6 O/U and ATS for the year. Missouri is just offensively talented for the Tar Heels in this campaign.

Platinum Play: Missouri -5

Atlanta vs. New Orleans

Monday Night football finds the New Orleans Saints entertaining the Atlanta Falcons on December 26, 2011. The saints are 11-3 on the season and hold an unblemished 6-0 record at home while the Falcons are 4-3 when playing on the road. The Falcons are 9-5 on the season and are in the hunt for a playoff spot.

Atlanta is led by running back Michael Turner with 9 touchdowns and 1129 rushing yards on the season with Roddy White handling the receiving duties by grabbing 1100 yards from the air. Quarterback Matt Ryan loves to throw the ball which is evidenced in his 3698 yards passing this season. Atlanta is 10th best in scoring with 24.4 points per game and gain 255 yards per game passing the football. Defense is better than average as they limit the opposition to 327 total yards per game and are very stubborn by only allowing 96.6 yards rushing to the other team for 4th best in the NFL.

The Saints are a pass first team with quarterback Drew Brees amassing an amazing 4786 yards in the air with the majority of that going to Jimmy Graham with 1171 yards caught. Graham also leads the team with 9 touchdowns for the year and Darren Sproles has run for 496 yards rushing. New Orleans leads the NFL is total yards per game with 456.7 and passing yardage at 331.4 a game. To compliment that the rushing game is 8th best in the league with 109.9 yards a game.

If you love to watch the passing game then this is a must-see game for you. Drew Brees and Matt Ryan will take to the air often in this game. New Orleans is 10-4 ATS and 7-7 O/U while the Falcons are 6-7-1 ATS and 5-9 O/U. The Saints are in and the Falcons ain’t.

Tanners Tip: Saints -6.5
