Thunder-Grizzlies Game 7 NBA Lock

Your free pick for Sunday is on the Oklahoma City Thunder (-6.5) to the Memphis Grizzlies.

Reasoning: Here’s the deal with this game, Oklahoma City is winning it and I am fairly sure of that, but to lay north of half a dozen to a spunky and confident Grizzly squad is too rich to go too crazy over.

Memphis has been very game and are extremely legit. Zach Randolph is a beast that at times has been unstoppable and guys like Gasol, Mayo and Conley have stepped up in a big-time way. But this is a game seven on the road with a young team that hasn’t been in this spot and Oklahoma City is still without a doubt the better team and the team with two amazing superstars in Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook who should rise up and take care of business.

The Thunder have nobody to blame but themselves for being in this decisive seventh game as they have blown huge leads on the road helping this series continue. Today though I expect Durant to play his best game of the series as the guy is just too good to be bottled up the way he has been and for the home Thunder to feed off of the raucous crowd and advance. I’m not saying this is going to be an absolute beatdown as Lionel Hollins has a very good team right now that believes they can win this game but in the end I do see a 10-12 point victory as the City has the experience from last season to go along with a ton of depth and talent which should win out in the end.

Top expert pick on this game: Oklahoma City

MLB Free Picks: Diamondbacks vs. Dodgers, Phillies vs. Braves

It’s time for MLB picks from the nation’s best MLB baseball handicappers. Starting out with the best ever, Grandmaster Sports Handicapper Joe Duffy, CEO of OffshoreInsiders.com, the top sports betting site in the world, it’s to go with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

LA DODGERS (BILLINGSLEY -136) Arizona (Collmeter)

By our standards this is a big chalk. But so many key metrics scream to bet on the Dodgers. They have gotten some of the ownership distractions behind them winning three straight and 4-of-5.

Arizona has lost five straight and they are 4-13 their last 17 on the road. For the year, the Diamondbacks are hitting just .230 on the road with a rancid .289 OBP. Their their last seven games overall it’s an even more embarrassing .220 BA and .282 OBP.

Arizona has a slugging percentage of just .296 in their last five games. That’s .53 points fewer than the Dodgers on base percentage in that span.

LA is 8-3 to left-handed starters. That’s a powerful split considering they are just 11-17 to righties. Speaking of splits, Chad Billingsley has a home ERA of 1.71 with a fantastic WHIP of 0.762.

Going back to last year Arizona is 27-63 in their last 90 road games against a right-handed starter. They are 17-38 versus an opponent with a losing record including 5-16 on the road.

The Dodgers are 35-17 in the series.

Now to OffshoreInsiders.com Senior Sports Handicapper Matt Rivers. He has a free sports pick Saturday is on the Philadelphia Phillies (+150) to the Atlanta Braves.

There aren’t many bigger Jair Jurrjens fans out there as I really believe in the Atlanta righthander but this is just too much, flat out too much. Certainly Jurrjens is better than the mediocre Joe Blanton but I don’t care. Anything I can get Charlie Manual’s great baseball team plus such an amount I’m in. Granted I’m not dropping a bomb and saying how this is the most phenomenal play I have ever seen but Rollins, Howard, Victorino, Polanco and the potential 2011 World Champions plus this much? Yes please.

The Braves are a high quality club that will win this game more times than they won’t. But with that said I don’t think they win it at the pace that the oddsmakers seem to believe. Blanton hasn’t been great and has been banged up but the guy is a veteran who can hold his own. It’s not like Blanton is complete and utter garbage at all. The northpaw could get hit and the Fightin’ Phillies could lose the game but the price is too good to pass up in some way, shape or form.

Philadelphia is always a must play at this sweet takeback, period.

Top expert pick on this game: Philadelphia from Matt Rivers

MLB Line Moves: Orioles vs. Rays

OffshoreInsiders.com Senior Sports Handicapper Matt Rivers has an MLB lock Friday is on the Baltimore Orioles (+140) to Tampa Bay.

I backed the O’s in that first series at Tropicana Field and they came through like a charm resulting in the Baltimore sweep and the 4-0 start to the season. Certainly things have changed since as Joe Maddon’s squad has really picked it up after their 0-6 skid out of the gate unlike Buck Showalter’s who have come back down to Earth with the sub .500 record but Baltimore has a quality lineup and to get a hefty takeback here against what is still a fairly mediocre Tampa squad is of value. Crawford and Pena are gone and even with Longoria back this Tampa team is nothing more than good, they’re just not.

Jeremy Guthrie doesn’t have the upside of Jeremy Hellickson but the Oriole right-hander has been around the block and was very good to begin the season including that start at the Trop. No doubt Guthrie was rocked in that last outing by these same Rays at Camden Yards but adjustments will be made and I think the veteran will be alright today back in the dome.

I definitely like Hellickson and his high upside and don’t have many negative thoughts about the right-hander. But it’s not like the guy is an elite hurler just yet and to get Buck’s batters consisting of Roberts, Markakis, Jones, Wieters, Lee and Guerrero plus such a price is too good to fully pass up.

This game is just the epitome of how to win gambling on baseball. Yes they are at home and probably have the overall superior squad. But on this day there is every way in the world that the boys from Baltimore can win the game and I’ll take my chances on what is probably the more potent lineup plus a number that is a bit overinflated.

Top expert pick on this game: Baltimore Orioles from Matt Rivers

For more information: The 200,000* Mets turned the trick yesterday plus a boatload for a small winning Thursday and yet another winning day. That’s now three of the last four days on the plus side and 42 of the past 68 as well. The profit is still over 6 million* in the few months and today I begin yet another winning weekend in style.

Three winners including a raising of the bar 400,000* between the Red Sox and Yankees plus a 300,000* Oklahoma City-Memphis and a 200,000* involving the Cardinals and Reds. 3-0 no doubt about it sweep. Click now to purchase

Best MLB Sports Service Free Picks

OffshoreInsiders.com Senior Sports Handicapper Matt Rivers has a Thursday winner is on the Yankees (-1.5 +100)

Reasoning: Ivan Nova continues to be a really solid hurler and to not lay much besides that extra run and a half is fine with me. Nova has impressed me ever since that first start last season in Toronto where he loaded the bases in the first inning and found his way out of it. This kid is not great but he is pretty good and at home against the Royals should be more than enough.

Kansas City has had a better than expected first month plus, including the extra inning win yesterday, as Billy Butler and Alex Gordon are not bad at all but it’s still the big bad Yankees at home against the Kansas City Royals with a mediocre guy in Sean O’Sullivan. To get Arod, Jeter, Tex, Cano, Swisher and the rest of the Bronx Bombers here flat out cashes the ticket a lot more than it doesn’t. Obviously being at home could eliminate an at bat which is tough at times when laying that extra run plus but I just do not see KC being able to truly compete in this thing. If they do and only lose by a run then so be it, I pretty much can never lay around $2 so to be able to play the run-line is the way to go.

Expect Nova to do his thing for about six innings and in the end the Yankees bats get some knocks in and win in the range of 6-2.

Top expert pick on this game: NY Yankees on the runline

For more information: Nothing I can say about what happened to the Celtics last night as that’s just one of those horrific horrific beats, it happens. Still well ahead of the Crookie and back at it today to improve upon the numbers above. Two plays and two winners for at least another 500,000* of profit. 300,000* Bulls-Hawks along with a 200,000* Mets-Rockies. Tomorrow I will be a bragging and you can be as well! Astros vs. Reds MLB Picks Plus Tigers vs. Twins Bet Winner

OffshoreInsiders.com Senior Sports Handicapper Matt Rivers has a Major League Baseball odds winner on the Houston Astros (+110) to Cincinnati.

Reasoning: Last week we had this same pitching matchup in Cincinnati and it was Homer Bailey and the Reds who came through with relative ease. I liked the Astros plus the solid takeback in that one and fell short but will have no problem at all going right back to the well now in Houston at a sweet underdog price.

Yes Bailey had a really solid first start to the season and yes the Astros are a well inferior team that does not have the offense of the Reds. But in revenge I am still all about Myers as the guy has been really good since leaving Philadelphia and I just don’t see Bailey besting the more experienced and superior hurler for a second time in a week, I just don’t.

Bailey came up a few years back as a heralded kid with a world of upside but none of that ever materialized. The right-hander still has a shot to be good but I’m not fully buying it. Until he consistently does it over and over again I’ll take my chances fading him as this type of a road chalk with what I believe to be the clear better pitcher in Myers at home. We will need Pence or Bourn or Lee to get in a few knocks as the Houston lineup overall is garbage and well below Joey Votto and the Reds but the price is right to back Myers and the ‘Stros in revenge.

Top expert pick on this game: Houston from Matt Rivers

DETROIT (PORCELLO +110) Minnesota (Liriano)

Detroit is 6-1 the last seven +5.5. Minnesota is 3-9 their last 12. In two starts at home, Francisco Liriano has an ERA of 15.75 with a WHIP of 2.375. Detroit is 3-1 their last four with Porcello. His ERA in that period is 1.37 with a WHIP of 1.010.

Detroit is 7-1 to left-handed pitchers. Minnesota is 1-7 off a loss and 3-14 in their last 17 after scoring 2 runs or less in their previous game. They are a disgraceful 1-8 in Liriano’s last 9 starts after scoring 2 runs or less in their previous game.

NBA Locks: Heat vs. Celtics

OffshoreInsiders.com Senior Sports Handicapper Matt Rivers has an NBA lock Monday is on the Miami Heat (-1) to Boston.

Top expert pick on this game: The Celtics pretty much staved off elimination with that great second half in game three but can they do it again? I say no.

The last thing that I am going to do is sit here and try and bag on Doc Rivers’ squad. Boston is still extremely capable with very experienced players and a foursome as good as any. Pierce, Garnett, Allen and Rondo are super dangerous and can beat anybody anywhere. But I do believe that Wade and LeBron are going to step things up tonight and play a full 48 minutes, something they did not accomplish in that last game.

The Heat were somehow flat in that last game, I saw it as did many of you. Besides the solid second quarter they didn’t show all that much. I don’t see that happening again here in Beantown against what is still a banged up Boston squad. Pretty much all of the key cogs for the home C’s are hurting with maybe Garnett being the most healthiest and at any time that can change, as we have seen in recent seasons. Rondo still has the back issue, Allen with the chest and Pierce with you name it.

Boston is still a fairly confident bunch and should be in this thing but in the end I do believe the true cream will rise to the top and that will be King James and his mates.

Two plays today and two winners today. The numbers are still top notch for sure but after the recent skid I just don’t deserve to tout them and won’t tout them. But when I go 2-0 tonight I’ll come with them tomorrow that you can be sure of. 300,000* Oklahoma City-Memphis plus a 200,000* Chicago-Anaheim. Click now to purchase

Free MLB Picks: Cubs vs. Reds

OffshoreInsiders.com Senior Sports Handicapper Matt Rivers has a pick Sunday is on the Cubs (+105) to the Cincinnati Reds.

Reasoning: Ryan Dempster had a horrible first month to the season but finally looked pretty good in that last start in Los Angeles. I still don’t love the sinkerballer nor do I love the Cubs but the Reds have been far from much of late and I’ll back the northsiders today at this cheap home price.

Johnny Cueto when on can be awesome and I’ll be the first to admit such. But this is the righty’s first start of the season thanks to the shoulder injury and I’m really not all that sure how he is going to fare in this first start. It really wouldn’t shock me if he was in the shower by the third inning to be honest as guys like Soriano, Pena and Fukudome aren’t great but are potent enough at times.

Cincinnati started the season 4-0 and ever since has been very mediocre. Joey Votto can be great and I like Jay Bruce and Brandon Phillips as well but the defending NL Central Champions have just not been that good of late.

Dempster still has ace type potential with that biting sinker and at Wrigley I’ll back him and fade Cueto in his first start. The Reds are struggling a ton with the bats and have not been the same team we saw last season. It’s not the easiest thing to trust the Cubbies but that is what I am going to do today as the Reds are really no better.

Top expert pick on this game: Chicago Cubs

For more information: All in all last week was an abomination, plain and simple. The Heat’s second half yesterday about summed things up but the winning days have been a very impressive 39 of the last 63 and the profit is still at a whopping 6 million stars. It’s not what it was, there’s no doubt about that and I would never sugarcoat like some do. But with that said the last few months are still probably better than any other handicapper on this planet in that span so I’ll take it.

Three winners today including the highest play in my arsenal, a 500,000* between da Bulls and da Hawks. 300,000* Lakers-Mavericks and a 100,000* on the diamond with the Diamondbacks and Padres. Click now to purchase
