Saturday’s Sports Gambling Rundown

Key college football clashes highlight a Saturday schedule that also includes the NBA, college hoops, and the NHL. Here’s a look in your Daily Sports Roundup.

The Gridiron Spotlight

No. 4 Texas took care of business with a 49-9 win over Texas A&M on Thursday night, and now No. 3 Oklahoma will be looking for a similar result on Saturday against No. 11 Oklahoma State. The Sooners are one spot behind the Longhorns in the BCS rankings, and need to impress on the road against the Cowboys in order to jump up into a Top-2 position. Oklahoma is pegged as a 7-point favorite.

Top-ranked Alabama and No. 2 Florida are going to battle for conference supremacy next weekend, but on Saturday they’ll have to tread water against lesser opponents. The Tide are favored by 14.5 points at home against Auburn, while Florida is favored by 16.5 points on the road against No. 23 Florida State.

No. 17 Oregon State can wrap up a trip to the Rose Bowl on Saturday if they can get past No. 19 Oregon. The Beavers are favored by 3 points in the contest. No. 5 USC has the same Pac-10 record as Oregon State (7-1), but they fell to the Beavers earlier this year and lose the tiebreaker. The Trojans will hope for an Oregon State loss on Saturday as they take on Notre Dame as 32-point favorites.

The other two marquee games on Saturday are No. 18 Georgia Tech vs. No. 13 Georgia, and Baylor vs. No. 7 Texas Tech. The Bulldogs are favored by 7.5 points in their rivalry game, while the Red Raiders are listed as 22-point faves.
